IDFI's toenail popper is used to remove the toenails from a cows' hooves. Its compact, yet heavy duty, stainless steel design is easy to maintain and clean, minimizing harborage areas. This equipment has the ability to run as a single station or dual station unit.
IDFI has incorporated a dual switch configuration for safety. The first switch is a foot pedal that the operator has to have depressed to operate, and the second is a whisker switch the operator must push with the hoof before the machine will be activated.
IDFI has designed this unit with cost-effective features, including replaceable, upper and lower blades and guides, as well as a four-sided blade for longevity. This unit is also designed to allow a conveyor placed under the frame to collect the toenails.
